Taking place this Sunday 24th May in The Iveagh Gardens, Dublin Castle is Africa Day. This is an annual event, celebrating African diversity and cluture. With stalls displaying crafts, films, exhibitions and music its sounds like a great day out. And also important to note that the event is free!
This free event will be taking place from 12pm to 8pm, I’d advise going early (apparently there were close to 7,000 people in attendance last year)
As mentioned there will be music at the event – Irish and African musicians will be taking to the main stage throughout the day.
Confirmed Acts include:
Vieux Farka Touré,
Liam Ó Maonlaí
Niwel Tsumbu (Congo)
Kenny Gilmore (Malawi )
Heartbreak Cartel (South Africa)
Discovery Gospel Choir
Stone & Jezreel
Republic Of Loose
