Irish illustrator Chris Judge has a new exhbition opening in Dublin tongiht (6th August).
The title of the exhibition is Pangea, the shows opening reception takes place in South Studios and kicks off tonight at 6pm. There will be a beer and wine reception and some music too! Pangea will showcase 30 new watercolour and ink paintings by Chris Judge as well as a small installation.
Chris Judge creates work that’s a little bit menacing and a little bit cute. His drawings have adorned the backs of buses, billboards, T-shirts, electric vans and many other media. You can read his monthly comic strip Dystopia (written by his brother) in Totally Dublin or see his work for clients Carlsberg and Vodafone among others in ads all over the country.
I came across Chris Judge’s work when i first moved up to Dublin a year and a half ago – he had an exhibition on upstairs in the Powerscourt Townhouse. Really like his style of illustration – altho the samples (see thumbnails below) from the new show seem a bit different to his usual style of work.
Not too sure how long the exhibition is running for, or if it’s just showing tonight – but either way it’s well worth checking out!
