Not too long ago, a project was launched by the Dublin Theatre Festival and daft.ie called Playhouse Dublin. Using 100,000 low-energy LEDs, Dublin’s Liberty Hall was turned into a giant 50 metre, low resolution TV screen. Anyone and everyone was invited to create their own animation, with accompanying soundtrack, to be featured on the massive canvas.
The live show finished on 11th October, but it will live on thanks to Irish director Eoghan Kidney. Kidney, who has previously directed music videos for Delorentos and Fight Like Apes, used the Liberty Hall Playhouse Dublin project as the central feature in his newest venture – the music video to the Mark Knight & D. Ramirez vs Underworld track Downpipe. Check it out here.
