This news makes me happy. Interpol are back, and it’s long overdue. Pauls Banks & co. bringing a bit of gloom back to take over from the summer vibes.
They’ve just unleashed a new track Lights, which is available for download on their website (it’s free). No word as of yet on new album details, but this will keep me entertained for now.
This Saturday, 17th April, will be Record Store Day in many countries across the world, including Ireland. Record Store Day is a day to celebrate that will celebrate the indie music store.
As Jim Carroll discusses in On The Record, the independent record store is a dying breed, as the rise of digital media stores continues. But there is plenty to celebrate come Saturday, including some live acts and exclusive releases.
After a lengthy absence, Aussie band Midnight Juggernauts are back with this new track Vital Signs and its accompanying trippy video, which was directed by Krozm.
On first listen to the track I wasn’t too impressed, but it’s grown on me – check it out:
Nordie band Two Door Cinema Club have announced that Something Good Can Work will be their new single.
Stornoway are a 4 piece band from Oxford. I was looking through my bookmarks and had their myspace saved which I totally forgot about. Now I remember why I saved their link for later… this song and their most recent single I Saw You Blink:
Yes I realise there has been an overload of Mumford & Sons on the blog over the last while, but I couldn’t resist posting this beautifully shot video. It’s part of a series of tracks the band performed in an old bookshop. Watching this actually gave me chills:
